So important to remember and say thank you to all those who look, and looked after us.
I’d like to mention my late father in law Ian Hirst (Sergeant) who was a wireless operator in the Reconnaissance Corps at the end of the Second World War. I would also like to mention my Mum’s second husband Bill Arnold who was a soldier – a radar operator, in the Second World War and saw active service in the desert ( he lied about his age and signed up a year before the usual age). Both of them survived the war but are no longer with us.
It’s all about remembering.
