In ‘textiles world’ we are going into AW 2017/18 so I’ve mostly been drawing transitional imagery (inter season things you see in the shops). I will enjoy getting onto ‘foxes’ and ‘owls’ and ‘bears’, which of course are synonymous with autumn/winter like lions and ladybirds are with summer. Those foxes and the owls are still out there doing their foxy and owly thing in Spring/Summer – they just get sidelined till the colder wintry months (in textile/surface pattern world!!) The other evening whilst driving home at dusk (from playing a tennis match- love tennis me) we saw a Barn Owl fly in front of us and perch up in a tree……very beautiful to witness! x
